The Groom's Story
In a land far far far away...called Upper Michigan, comes the story of a guy who's engaged to a girl named Kelly.
Erik was born and raised in Ishpeming, Mi (for those who have never heard of the place, don't bother trying to pronounce it, just know that Erik was born near Marquette, Mi).
Erik's parents, Gena and Gordy, still reside in Ishpeming, as well as Erik's oldest brother David and his family. Erik's brother, and former roommate, Ryan lives in Appleton (next door to Uncle Louie). It is important to note that Erik is the baby of the family and both David and Ryan are envious of that.
While growing up, most people would say that Erik enjoyed getting into trouble, however, that is not at all correct. Erik enjoyed....ahhh, maybe that is correct. Besides mischief, Erik also enjoyed camping with his friends, playing in a band, and dreaming of one day being a famous comedian; that is until they opened a Target near his hometown.
Erik went to school at Northern Michigan University and received his bachelors in Criminal Justice. It was during this same period of time that a friend put in a good word for him and got him a security job at Target. From Marquette, to Appleton, to Oshkosh, to Fond du Lac, to West Allis, to Wauwatosa, to Milwaukee, to Greenfield, Erik has worked at a lot of Targets.
Erik hopes that Kelly never learns to do wheelies, or stand on her motorcycle. He also wants to someday quit his job and be a stay-at-home dad. Kelly's going to be rich one day.
